Are You Ready?

What steps are you taking to prevent breeding Gulls from turning your buildings, roofs and plant areas into a protected nesting site?

Whilst nesting season traditionally starts in May, the courting and breeding process begins much earlier than that.

Gulls prefer to nest on buildings and roofs that offer shelter, warmth and protection and they are very adaptable in matching their nesting habits to our modern environment.

Once the nests and chicks are in situ, the Gulls become more aggressive and vocal. In addition, they are protected under The Countryside and Wildlife Act 1981 which prevents the harm and destruction of the Gull, its eggs, and its nest.
